Add Extra Password Security

You are here:

When using SENT your files are safe and secure, but we are pretty paranoid too, and so we totally understand that you might want to add another layer of security for when the file is downloaded too, which is why you can add password protection to your SENT files.

A couple good rules of thumb for file passwords: don’t put the password in the encrypted note, and don’t email the password.

To control this setting, start by navigating to the Send page, choosing a recipient, and clicking Continue.

On the Send page, check the Password Protect the Files checkbox.

Enter your password in the Password and Confirm Password fields.

You’re all set!

Your recipient must enter this password to download the file.

As said, communicate the password to them securely, such as over the phone or in person.
